Job Descriptions

Grader Operator

The Grader Operator will be responsible for operating the grader machine to level surfaces, ensuring the ground is prepared for further construction or mining activities. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of the site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating the grader machine to level surfaces.
• Ensuring the accuracy of grading according to the project specifications.
• Performing routine maintenance checks on the grader.
• Reporting any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
• Adhering to all safety and operational guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid Grader Operator certification.
• At least 2 years of experience operating a grader in a mining or construction environment.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols.

FEL Operator

The FEL (Front-End Loader) Operator will be responsible for operating the front-end loader to move materials around the site, loading materials onto trucks, and assisting with various other site activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating the front-end loader efficiently and safely.
• Loading and unloading materials from trucks.
• Performing regular maintenance checks on the loader.
• Reporting any equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team.
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid FEL Operator certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a front-end loader operator.
• Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Drill Rig Operator

The Drill Rig Operator will be responsible for operating the drill rig to create holes for blasting or sampling in the mining site. This position requires precision and a thorough understanding of drilling techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating the drill rig to create precise holes.
• Monitoring the drilling process and making adjustments as necessary.
• Conducting routine maintenance checks on the drill rig.
• Ensuring the drill rig is operated safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Recording drilling data accurately.

Qualifications:

• Valid Drill Rig Operator certification.
• At least 2 years of experience operating a drill rig.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Learnerships: ADT Drivers

ANDRU Mining is offering 10 learnership positions for aspiring ADT (Articulated Dump Truck) Drivers. This learnership program is designed to provide hands-on training and experience to individuals seeking to start a career in mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participating in all training sessions and practical assignments.
• Operating the ADT under supervision.
• Learning and adhering to all safety and operational guidelines.
• Assisting with other site duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Matric certificate (Grade 12).
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the mining environment.
• No prior experience required, but a keen interest in mining operations is essential.
• Must be physically fit and able to work in a demanding environment.
