The Office of the Ombud for Financial Services Providers (FAIS Ombud) invites interested and suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Human Resource Administrator based in Pretoria, Gauteng.
Position Details

Job Purpose
To provide general human resources administration support across various HR functions including recruitment and selection, staff induction, performance management, employee relations, organizational development, employee wellness, learning and development, and other HR areas as required.
Responsibilities
- Support HR Office: Assist in various activities to ensure efficient HR department operations according to agreed-upon turnaround times and quality standards.
- File Maintenance: Maintain physical and electronic HR files to ensure they are always audit-ready.
- Audit Assistance: Assist with audit requests as required.
- Recruitment Support: Complete administrative tasks related to recruitment, selection, and appointment processes.
- HRIS Management: Manage the HR Information System (HRIS) to ensure data accuracy.
- Leave Management: Provide administrative support for leave management, including the monthly leave run, preparing leave reports, and reconciliations.
- Performance Management Support: Assist with administrative support for employee performance management, training, and development.
- Training Administration: Administer the Annual Training Plan and provide reports accordingly.
- SCM Compliance: Attend to all Supply Chain Management compliance requirements.
- Rewards and Remuneration: Provide administrative support for employee rewards, remuneration, and benefits processing.
- Employee Termination: Administer the employee termination process according to HR policies and procedures.
- Wellness Initiatives: Support the HR Office with promoting and implementing employee wellness initiatives.
- Occupational Health: Support the HR Office with occupational health matters.
- Maintenance Requests: Attend to maintenance requests and act as a liaison between the office and the building manager.
- Access Facilitation: Facilitate all access requirements for the office.
- Biometric Requirements: Attend to all biometric requirements within the office.
- Committee Support: Provide administrative support to various HR-related committees.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Support special or ad-hoc HR projects as required.
Requirements
- Education: Matric certificate or equivalent, National Diploma in Human Resources Management or similar.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the Human Resources field, with expertise in HR administration and diary management.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Human Resource policies, procedures, practices, and South African labor law.
