Role and Responsibilities
As an HR Officer at Hirsch’s, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the human resources operations are effectively managed. Your key responsibilities will include:
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Managing the Recruitment Process: Oversee the entire recruitment process from job advertisement, screening, interviewing, to hiring.
- Onboarding New Employees: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they are well-integrated into the company and familiar with their roles and responsibilities.
- Maintaining Recruitment Records: Keep accurate records of all recruitment activities and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Employee Relations
- Building Positive Employee Relations: Act as a liaison between employees and management to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Handling Grievances and Disputes: Address employee grievances and disputes promptly and fairly to maintain a harmonious workplace.
- Conducting Exit Interviews: Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and insights for improving employee retention.
Performance Management
- Implementing Performance Appraisals: Coordinate the performance appraisal process, ensuring timely and objective evaluations.
- Developing Performance Improvement Plans: Assist in creating and monitoring performance improvement plans for employees who need additional support.
- Providing Coaching and Support: Offer guidance and support to managers and employees on performance-related issues.
Training and Development
- Identifying Training Needs: Assess the training needs of employees and develop appropriate training programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Coordinating Training Programs: Organize and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars to ensure continuous employee development.
- Tracking Training Progress: Maintain records of training activities and monitor the progress and effectiveness of training programs.
HR Administration
- Maintaining Employee Records: Ensure that employee records are accurately maintained and up-to-date.
- Managing Payroll and Benefits: Oversee payroll processing and administer employee benefits programs.
- Compliance with HR Policies: Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for the HR Officer position at Hirsch’s, candidates should meet the following requirements:
Educational Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications in HR management (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are highly desirable.
Experience and Skills
- Relevant Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar HR role, preferably in the retail industry.
